Not this last winter but the one before that, we did a truly wonderful show out of Boston, at the wonderful Wang Center. Mezzo-soprano Susan Graham joined us, as did the artist-run ProArte Chamber Orchestra. We had a fine enough time that we thought we'd like to play the show again, so that's what we're doing. This weekend.

This weekend we're rebroadcasting a great Joke Show, the one we recorded on April 17, 2004, right here in St. Paul. Comedian Paula Poundstone was with us, and Vince Giordano played his bass saxophone with Rich Dworsky, and the Guy's All-Star Shoe Band did their thing. It was a great show, perfect for a repeat.

This week we'll rebroadcast one of our favorite shows, from a few Valentine's Days ago, straight out of Spartanburg, South Carolina. It's a good one, with mandolin virtuoso and bluegrass rebel Sam Bush, and the flatpickin' folk guitar stylist Doc Watson. Guy Noir works out the mystery of some stolen grits, too.

We love playing shows at Tanglewood in Lenox, Massachusetts, so we're thrilled to be headed there for the coming Fourth of July weekend, for a Saturday show at the Koussevitzky Music Shed. And what a group musical guests! We'll welcome Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Professor Peter Schickele with David Düsing, and Inga Swearingen. Plus, violinist Andy Stein, vocalist Prudence Johnson, our Royal Academy of Radio Acting, and more.

This weekend we're headed to the Chastain Amphitheater in Atlanta, where we'll welcome opera singer Jan Grissom (a soprano), blues singer Precious Bryant, and the prolific Sam Bush on mandolin. Plus, our friends Andy Stein and Prudence Johnson, the Royal Academy of Radio Actors, and so much more. We're recording the show live on Friday for Saturday and Sunday broadcasts.

This weekend we're broadcasting live from the Ravinia Festival 2005 in Highland Park, Illinois. There'll be a lot of powerful female vocalists there with us: The Mila Vocal Ensemble, The Ditty Bops, our good friend Prudence Johnson. Plus, Howard Levy on harmonica, Andy Stein on violin, Garrison Keillor with the News From Lake Wobegon, and more. Join us.

This weekend we're headed to Ohio for a show at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls. Our friends Elana Fremerman (on fiddle) and Cindy Cashdollar (on dobro and steel guitar) will be there, and we've asked the Minnesota-based a capella group Tonic Sol-Fa to join us as well. Plus: The Hopeful Gospel Quartet (Garrison, Robin and Linda Williams, and Mollie O'Brien), the Royal Academy of Radio Actors, the News From Lake Wobegon and more.

We're looking forward to spending this Friday evening in L.A., at the Hollywood Bowl, and we're sure you'll love the show when we broadcast it for you throughout the weekend. Old Crow Medicine Show, Leo Kottke, Karan Casey, Maude Maggart, Greg Leisz, Prudence Johnson will all be hanging out with us in sunny southern California. It's going to be a great time...
