This week we're in Madison, Wisconsin, for a live broadcast featuring the antics of madcap singer/songwriter Kacey Jones, as well as the tunes of world-touring accordionist Stas Venglevski, the swinging sounds of steel and Dobro player Cindy Cashdollar, and a last-minute appearance by Catfish Stephenson.

A rebroadcast of the January 18, 2003, show at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota, featuring Cajun band and longtime Prairie Home favorite BeauSoleil and cellist Tony Ross.

For our final performance of 2003, we welcome to our Town Hall stage Australian-turned-Americana rocker Tommy Emmanuel, as well as the irrepressible Klezmatics, fiddler Andy Stein, and bandleader Vince Giordano. Stay tuned for a special guest appearance by the man of a thousand disguises, Mr. Al Franken.

This week was our third of four live December broadcasts from New York City this year. We welcomed some internationally known American musicians to the stage: soprano Renée Fleming and pianist Fred Hersch, and pianist Emanuel Ax. Also joining us were the Hopeful Gospel Quartet: Linda and Robin Williams, Mollie O'Brien, and GK.

This weekend we return to the blanketed NYC for a live broadcast from Town Hall in Times Square. We have on board jazz man Vince Giordano, pianist and clarinetist Butch Thompson, violinist Andy Stein, and trumpeter Randy Sandke.

This week we broadcast live from Town Hall in New York City. Our guests included acerbic pianist and composer Randy Newman, the Celtic Boys of the Lough, and Geoff Muldaur and his Futuristic Ensemble.

We'll be joined by jazz vocalist Inga Swearingen and Montana singer-songwriter Stephanie Davis. We'll also be welcoming back from last week steel guitarist Greg Leisz, fresh off a tour with K.D. Lang.

Our musical guests included Celtic fiddler Natalie MacMaster, rockabilly filly and prog-country star Rosie Flores, as well as steel guitarist and dobro player Greg Leisz. And in the spirit of sunny SoCal recreation, we played host to surf guitar band the Duo-Tones.

This weekend we broadcasted a compilation of highlights from past shows. The sampler plate, hand-picked by GK, included virtuoso guitarist Leo Kottke, Stephanie Davis, Jerry Douglas & Stuart Duncan and the Fairfield Four. We reviewed the travails of Bob (a Young Artist) as he tasted success as a playwright.

Our guests included Virginia-based Americana music masters Robin and Linda Williams, as well as rollicking bluegrass musicians Mountain Heart. We also played host to Mike Seeger, who plays traditional songs from the rural American south.
