(BIG THEME)

GK: Rising majestically on a hill except without the hill, Indiana University, and towering over Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, population 70,000, 40,000 of whom are charged with hormones, including the 1,600 students in the School of Music, especially the brass players who are not here today.

(HOLIDAY IN DELAWARE PART I)

GK: Here at Indiana, students move quickly from building to building to building, eager to pursue an education. Some hove come on basketball scholarships, some to attend the prestigious Jacobs School of Music - and others because they know that the Kinsey Institute is home to the world's largest collection of pornography.

(OPEN SPACES)

GK: Time now for a walk through campus, the big limestone buildings, tree-shaded Seventh Street, the handsome Monroe County Courthouse, the Alley Bar, Jake's, The Crazy Horse, the Q Billards, Nick's, Bear's Place, Kilroy's, Irish Lion, Yogi's.

(BUSY CITY)

GK: Lunchtime, and suddenly the hallways are bustling as the students head for the cafeteria. Yes, nothing excites a musician like the chance to enjoy a good hot meal. Even musicians who have reached a high level of spirituality in their playing still have a good appetite. Today's menu includes pork loin and vegetable lasagna. Why not take some of each?

(OPEN SPACES)

GK: After lunch it's off to chamber orchestra. Note the excellent posture of the first chairs compared to the second chairs, and how good everybody looks in black. The conductor smiles as he raises his baton. Michievious bass players have attached a raccoon tail to the back of his jacket. But he wouldn't trade this job for any in the world - especially not his last job, which was directing show choir at Purdue.

(CHA CHA)

GK: The afternoon aerobic dance class, led by fitness instructor Chanelle. Sitting and sawing away on a violin can condemn a musician to a life of pain - but the irrepressible salsa rhythm loosens you up. And it gives you a chance to meet percussionists, who make excellent starter boyfriends.

(FIRST THEME)

GK: Time has sped quickly by and now, unfortunately, our visit to The School of Music must come to an end. It's late all along the dormitory halls, the lights are going out, and we see the socks on the doorknobs - universal dormitory code for I Am In Here and I'm Not Alone. One of the benefits of music. Bravo. Bravo. And farewell.
