In Lake Wobegon, Luanne Peterson copes with the arrival of a new patient in the pediatric intensive care unit.

This week, our summer rebroadcasts continue, with a show originally from last October at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, Tennessee. The Milk Carton Kids perform their song about the River City, our staff blues singer Hilary Thavis sings "That's Alright, Mama," and theatre organist Tony Thomas plays a few tunes on the Orpheum's Mighty Wurlitzer. In Lake Wobegon, the Hedlunds dig up a local ghost story.

This week, another summer rebroadcast, a repeat of our April 14, 2012 show from The Town Hall in New York City. Renee Fleming sings "The Scarlet Tide," Punch Brothers play "Patchwork Girlfriend," and Heather Masse and Aoife O'Donovan team up for "Time's a Hoax." In Lake Wobegon, Bud learns a lesson about friendship while putting the dock in the water.

This week, another trip into the public radio vaults and a show originally from June 2009 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Sheryl Crow plays "Hard to Make a Stand," k.d. lang performs "Thread," Martin Sheen tries to cover up a few of his early film roles, and Heather Masse sings "Midnight Sun." In Lake Wobegon, Pastor Ingqvist counsels prospective newlyweds.

This week, our summer repeats roll on with a show originally from June 30, 2007 at the Koussevitzky Music Shed at Tanglewood in Lenox, Massachusetts. James Taylor sings "Everybody Has the Blues," violinist Jaime Laredo and cellist Sharon Robinson play a few tunes composed by Andy Stein, and Inga Swearingen joins Garrison on "I Think of You." In Lake Wobegon, the Hansens' dove-breeding business goes awry.

This week: our second summer rebroadcast, a show from June 4, 1994 celebrating the re-opening of the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. The Everly Brothers sing "Blues Stay Away from Me" and Chet Atkins plays "Mystery Train," plus, music from Vince Gill, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Mark O'Connor, and an appearance by the Hopeful Gospel Quartet. In Lake Wobegon, the Whippets open their season and the host shares a few memories of the Grand Ole Opry's last night at the Ryman.

This week, we kick off our summer repeats with a classic recorded all the way back on November 23, 1985 at the Bridges Auditorium at the Claremont Colleges in Claremont, California. Willie Nelson sings a few tunes with our band (featuring Chet Atkins, Johnny Gimble, Peter Ostroushko, and Butch Thompson) and Tom Keith performs his version of "Turkey in the Straw," plus, music from El Mariachi Los Galleros de Pedro Rey, and saw player David Weiss. In Lake Wobegon, Senator K. Thorvaldson's mysterious love Laura comes to town to meet his family.

This week, we're celebrating the 40th Anniversary of our very first show at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota with a festival and a special three-hour live broadcast. We'll have a host of rock'n'roll, blues, folk, soul, and country musicians on hand, plus, a few big sing-alongs, the Old Regulars of the Powdermilk Biscuit Band, the Royal Academy of Radio Actors, an extra-wide version of The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band, and the latest News from Lake Wobegon.
