May 15, 2010 rebroadcast with Stephanie Davis, Donald Hall, VocalEssence, and Rob Fisher
This week on A Prairie Home Companion, a special springtime compilation program in an effort to revive warm weather on the tundra with Stephanie Davis singing "Springtime Feeling In My Heart," Donald Hall reading a Jane Kenyon poem about warm weather and springtime is bath time for Dusty and Lefty, a pair of crusty cowboys coming in off the godforsaken trail. Plus, VocalEssence sings "Welcome Spring," Rob Fisher plays "Spring Fever" and in Lake Wobegon: Hope springs eternal when Ronnie Detmer believes he may have found a golden ring out in the Whippets' centerfield that belonged to the late, great Babe Ruth. All that, plus The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band in seersucker suits, and The Royal Academy of Radio Actors: Sue Scott, Tim Russell, Tom Keith and Fred Newman.
